This was our first finished timeline. We have changed the speed of two clips on this timeline. We slowed one down and speed one up. We did this by right clicking on the clip and going down to the speed duration. We then typed in the number we wanted to change the speed to. IF we lower the number between 0 and 100 then the clip would have slowed down. If we went over 100 then the speed would be quicker. IF we wanted to reverse the shot then we would use minus numbers.
This was just one of our transitions we used when we started editing this together. This was an iris dissolve. We also used cross dissolves and wipes. We also used fade ins and fade outs using the opacity line and pen tool. This allowed us to add more creative when we started and finished shots. we also did the same for the music, so we could fade it out instead of just ending it abruptly.
This was when we added titles to the beginning and end of our piece. The ending was scrolling credits which started off screen and ended of screen. We also used a still picture, so we could fade out the credits and keep the still on them for a couple more seconds before we also faded that away. The credits were also used to credit the music we used as this was part of the creative commons. This meant we could use the music and we had to credit the site we used and the composer. The site we used was incompetech.
The final screen shot showcases the footage we have taken for the editing intro when we were learning different shot types, shallow and deep field of focus and we went through the footage to see what our best footage was whether it was focus or interesting shots. we then edited these shots changing the speed or zooming in. This was to help us refresh our current skills or learn new things within adobe. The use of speed and zooming was new to me so I have learned these new sills which will help with later footage.
Good still-
I believe that this is a good shot as I have focused on the
bars so the people in the background are out of focus. This is a good shot as I’ve
used a shallow depth of field and low aperture number to create this effect. We
also slowed this shot down to 75% to give it a slow motion feel but not making
it to slow.
Can improve-
This shot is unique using the depth of field to make the
wall out of focus, however somewhere within the process the rest doesn’t seem
to have a focally point within the shot. The improvement can be to go refilm
this shot and get it into focus and then add the effects after. This was the
worst shot we used on the timeline and if this was improved then the whole
timeline would feel smoother.

Really nice and thorough work Ruby - well done.
